AAS Chapters: Cullman Chapter

The Cullman County Archaeological Society, a chapter of the Alabama Archaeological Society, was formed in 1967. It is a group of local amateurs who share a common interest in the appreciation of early American artifacts, recording and investigating ancient sites and sharing knowledge with fellow members. Chapter meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month, September through May, at 7:00 pm in the Community Meeting Room of the Cullman County Health Department at 601 Logan Avenue S.W., Cullman.

The program agenda normally consists of the conduction of chapter reports and business, a monthly recent find award, an educational featured artifact of the month for group discussion and a featured program or presentation by a guest speaker including a variety of archaeological, geological, cultural or numerous other topics.

Annual dues are a modest $10.00 per person which helps cover the printing costs and postage for a quality monthly newsletter. Other chapter activities include but are not limited to: an annual summer field trip to a site of interest, participation in field events of the AAS and an enjoyable Christmas dinner at a local restaurant of choice.

If you decide to join our chapter, please print this page, fill in the information below, and include a check for $10.00 made payable to C.C.A.S. Mail to: Howard King at 81 Stewart Road, Cullman, Alabama, 35055 or pay at your first attended meeting.
